Italian yard Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) has sold the sixth unit of its 25 metre Darwin 86 explorer series, which will be equipped with a dedicated panic room "in case of attack".
The explorer will also feature storage for two tenders, a gym on the upper deck and a main deck complete with an open plan saloon, dining area and galley.

In contrast to its sisterships, the sixth Darwin 86 will include a differently shaped bow with a gentle sheer, an open stern with stairs and a carbon hardtop.

Speaking about the model, CdM’s sales and marketing director Vasco Buonpensiere said: “We invested a lot of time looking back at the Darwin Class past. This Darwin 86 is custom designed to explore.”
Carlo Aquilanti, sales manager of CdM, said: “The owner chose us because for him reliability and seaworthiness are crucial to the safety and success of the more challenging navigations.”
Accommodation is for up to eight guests in four cabins on the lower deck, while crew quarters house a team of two in one cabin.
Powered by twin diesel engines, the yacht will have a top speed of 11.5 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles when cruising at 10 knots.
The sixth Darwin 86 is due for delivery in 2023.
