TACOMA, Wash. — Law enforcement from multiple agencies converged on Tacoma Mall after multiple shots were fired inside the food court.
The shooting happened at 7:08 p.m. Friday evening.
Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Darren Moss Jr. said one person was found with a gunshot wound.
That person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, Tacoma police said.

He also said people hid in the mall and stores went into lockdown after at least 3 to 15 shots were fired.
According to a report from The News Tribune, a 28-year-old woman shopping with a friend at Bath and Body Works said she heard up to 15 gunshots Friday evening.
However, the exact number of shots and victims have not been confirmed as of yet.
Sheriff’s deputies, Washington State Patrol troopers and Lakewood and Tacoma police are at the scene.
It is not yet known what led to the gunfire inside the mall.
No suspects have been taken into custody, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department said.
