The all-new 2020 Explorer, which went on sale at the end of the second quarter of 2019 after garnering significant interest following its announcement last January, has completed its launch earlier this year. This means that worthwhile Ford Explorer discount offers are starting to finally roll in for the new three-row crossover SUV.
During the month of May, Ford is offering a combined incentive that includes a cashback rebate plus interest-free financing. As is the case with previous Ford Explorer discount offers, this month’s headlining offer is available only in select markets.
Ford Explorer Incentives
As we mentioned, Ford Explorer discount offers for the month of May 2020 vary by geographic region. We picked four major U.S. markets as examples of available discounts:
- New York City:
- Combined: 0 percent APR for 60 months + $3,500 cash for 2020 XLT and Limited models
- Detroit:
- Combined: 0 percent APR for 72 months
- Miami:
- Combined: 0 percent APR for 72 months
- Los Angeles:
- Combined: 0 percent APR for 60 months + $3,000 cash for 2020 XLT and Limited models
In addition to the market-specific offers above, the following offer is also available nationwide:
- $1,500 total cash discount for 2020 XLT and Limited models
Interested parties should note that the above offers are exclusive to the all-new 2020 Explorer, and are not applicable to the last-generation 2019 Explorer. Additionally, all of the aforementioned offers will remain valid through June 1st, 2020.
For reference, here are the applicable 2020 Explorer trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including destination charges:

- XLT – $38,565
- Limited – $49,970
