This cow needed some bovine intervention after the animal became trapped in a tree amid Hurricane Ida floodwaters in Louisiana.
“Louis Pomes and Parish Government employees, Tyler Acosta, David Palmer and Roy Ragan, Sr. rescue a #cow wedged in a tree in Florissant following #Hurricane #Ida,” St. Bernard Parish said in a tweet Tuesday.
Video shows the two workers in waist-deep water using a chainsaw to chop off branches to set the heifer — who appears to remain cool and calm during the rescue — free.
The udderly bizarre clip had racked up over 14,000 views on Twitter and received 100 comments on Facebook.
“The cattle ranchers save the day,” one user wrote on Faceook.
“Quite the smart cow to climb a tree to escape rising waters!” @SrDavalex99 said on Twitter.
The cow was found stuck near Florissant after Ida made landfall as a Category 4 storm Sunday and dumped over 10 inches of rain across parts of southeast Louisiana and coastal Mississippi, the Herald Sun reported.
It is unclear what happened to the daring cow after she was rescued.
