Basing it on a Lincoln Aviator, which shares the same platform as the Ford Explorer, would have made a lot more sense. To be fair, the grille from the Nautilus fits the Explorer surprisingly well, but Lincoln's smoother styling doesn't blend seamlessly with the Explorer's sharper edges.
Compared to the regular Explorer, the custom hearse has been stretched by 15 inches at the back to make room to fit caskets of all sizes. Since it's been extensively modified, it won't be cheap and will be more expensive than the standard Explorer, which starts at $32,765. The unusual Ford Explorer hearse can be finished in either Agate Black or Iconic Silver and is offered with Alicante and Black Fusion flooring options.
